Luxurious, fun, sexy and supportive: Swimwear celebrates busty women.

In many parts of the world a swimsuit is saved only for summer, here on the coast it’s part of our uniform for most of the year, so it’s pretty important you have one (or a few) that look and feel great.

The good news is our bikini buffet has a feast for all and with the option of separates the combinations are endless. For some however, choosing a swimsuit is a little trickier.

Recently I had a chat with Rachael Marelle the owner and designer of Australian swimwear label Marvell Lane. Marvell Lane design gorgeous swimwear specifically for young women with bust sizes from 8DD – 16H.

According to Rachael the biggest challenge for fuller-busted women when shopping for swimwear, is finding something which is both supportive and aesthetically pleasing. “It’s not always easy for the busty ladies” she said.

When you meet Rachael, you’ll see she’s a vibrant fun-loving young woman. Her label Marvell Lane was born out of personal frustration. Rachael found it so difficult to find a swimsuit she loved, that was also flattering and had sufficient support.

She would find herself hopelessly searching swimwear shops, looking for something suitable. When finally discovering something that could work, the colour and styles available would be limited and would rarely be considered fashionable. So, she decided to design her own.

Now, I happened to have misplaced my ticket for the large bust locomotive, but I did step on the fashion train and I can tell you right now I’d be very happy to be seen in a Marvell Lane swimsuit, my favourite would be the Ava Bikini top and Keira Bikini brief (pictured) and with high waisted swimwear staying the spotlight this year, this style is bang on trend.

You’ll notice Marvell Lane’s back size starts in an 8, for women who are smaller around the back, this is a massive plus, too loose and the top begins to misbehave and slide up. This is never a good look, not to mention uncomfortable. In in the case of a woman with a larger bust, the lack of support will only result in back pain. Swimwear should be playful, not painful!

Marvell Lane creates swimwear that is youthful and fresh. It celebrates the female form, while also providing the support that women with large busts need. It’s luxurious, fun, sexy and supportive, it’s well……marvellous.

Three ways to wear your new swimsuit;

Around the house with a fabulous kaftan - Channel those holiday vibes.

One piece two ways - Wear it as a swimsuit and a bodysuit, throw on a wrap skirt and you’re good to go.

And swimming of course, you’ll be the envy of any beachside onlooker!
