Good activewear makes it easy to step off the treadmill and then into the cafe for coffee
With cooler weather peering around the corner, you can finally begin bringing back the more forgiving clothing and leave your bikini body behind.
Wait a minute cheeky! What happens when you start searching for it next spring and it’s nowhere to be found? You can seek cover with a caftan, or you could find some fitness attire so fashionable, you’ll want to flex in it through every frosty day.
Being top of the missing persons list at my gym, I’m no expert in what work outs work for whom, but I do know that a woman who looks fabulous, feels fabulous and becomes fabulously energised.
So, we need to start thinking of our active wear as our favourite fitness friend, helping us feel motivated and look marvellous no matter what ridiculous moves we’re doing. Perhaps then we’ll move more often and never again shy away from the summer sunshine, struggling with shrunken swimwear.
These days looking at our wardrobes from a more sustainable perspective we’re searching for items that are multi-use. So, it’s no surprise gym clothes that take us from lunge to lunch are in high demand.
Now, I’ve never been one to encourage wearing active wear outside of active activities. However, local Noosa Label Exotic Athletica have blurred the lines very nicely, to which I will give you the green light.
Not only have they fused fashion and fitness (FUSHION) their whole range is made from a special SPF 50+ performance fabric making it gym to swim. Meaning you can run off the tread mill and dive straight into the pool. How cool is that? Aqua aerobics anyone?
It’s important to always think about cut and comfort when choosing workout wear. At Exotic Athletica, they design with your lifestyle in mind, so you have a huge choice of styles for whatever activity you’re undertaking. And if you are looking for some extra special attention, they have put the FIT in fitness, with their made to measure service. So, no matter your size or body shape they can make it just for you and for whatever it is your planning to do.
Want to get fitted? Take a look at their pop up shop in the plaza or jump online for a FUSHION fix at exoticathletica.com.
Hot tips for your workout-fits
Shy away from beige or nude active wear, from a distance these colours can be very confusing…
Not keen on everyone studying your cycling skills? Opt for something neutral (not nude) rather than hot pink with purple polka dots.
If any part of your workout requires bending or squatting, always check the taut-ness of your tights to avoid a bending bottom blunder.
